This Privacy Policy explains what personal data RageCut collects, why, and what rights you have. RageCut (“we”, “us”) is the controller of your personal data.
1. Who we are
RageCut is operated by an individual based in Poland. For any privacy question or request, write to [email protected].
2. What we collect
- Account data: your email address and password (stored only in a protected, non-readable form). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google.
- Your content: the files you upload, the links you import and what we make from them for you: transcripts, found moments, titles, subtitles, clips and your settings.
- Purchase data: what you bought, when, and the status of the payment. Card and billing details are collected by our payment provider, not by us.
- Technical data: the minimum needed to run and protect the service, such as IP address, browser type and error reports.
We use your browser’s storage only to keep you signed in and to remember your settings. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
3. Why we use it
- To provide RageCut: your account, analysis of your files, clips and storage (performance of our contract with you).
- To handle payments, invoices and taxes (contract and legal obligations).
- To send service emails, such as email confirmation, password reset and notices about your plan or files (contract).
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix errors (our legitimate interests).
We don’t sell your data, don’t show ads and don’t use your content to train AI models.
4. Who receives your data
We use trusted service providers that process data on our behalf and only as needed to run RageCut (for example hosting, data processing, payments and email delivery). Some of them are located outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States; such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
- Files and clips: for the storage period of your plan, then they are deleted automatically.
- Account data: until you delete your account. After that we keep only a protected, non-readable form of your email address, so that a new account with the same address doesn’t receive free credits again.
- Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Technical data and error reports: for a short period, up to 90 days.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format. You can delete your account and its data yourself in your account settings; for other requests write to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), or the authority in your country.
7. Security
We protect your data with reasonable technical and organizational measures, such as encrypted connections and access limited to what is necessary. No service is completely secure, but if a breach affects your data we will inform you as the law requires.
8. Children
RageCut is not intended for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect data of children under 16. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or on the website before it takes effect.
