From upload to clips

  1. Drop in the long one

A podcast, a stream, a lecture or a call. A file or a link. RageCut writes down every word, who said it and when.

  2. AI reads it all and ranks the best

Jokes, sharp answers, rage, lines worth quoting. Every clip gets a score, and the strongest come first.

  3. Pick, tweak, post

Keep the ones you like, nudge a start or an end, fix a word. Get clips with subtitles, ready to post.

Rage is just the start

Loud moments are easy to find, and RageCut catches them. It also reads every word, so it finds the calm answer or the line people will quote.

What you get

Moments with their setup
Clips start where the story starts and end on the payoff, not in the middle of a sentence.
Best clips on top
Every one gets a score. Take the best 5, 10 or 20, or look through all of them.
A title idea for each clip
A hook in the language of the video, ready for the caption.
Short, medium or long clips
Short ones (5–20 s) for TikTok and Shorts, medium (20–45 s) when the moment needs its setup, long (45–90 s) for a whole story. Picked the wrong length? Switch it after the analysis, free.
Subtitles you can edit
Word-by-word highlight, presets like Hormozi, Box and Glow, and the text is yours to fix before rendering.
Any format
Up to 1080p, cropped or on a blurred background, or one compilation with transitions.

Questions

More answers on the Help page once you sign in.

How does it work?

AI reads everything said in your video, finds the moments worth posting and puts the best first. You choose which to keep, and RageCut cuts them into clips with subtitles.

Who decides which clips I get?

You do. The AI suggests moments and puts the best ones first. You choose which to keep, move where each clip starts and ends, fix the subtitles, and only then render.

Which languages does it understand?

RageCut understands speech in more than 50 languages, from English and Spanish to Hindi and Japanese, and picks up the language of the video on its own. Title ideas come in that language too.

What is a credit?

1 credit = 1 minute of the video you upload or import, rounded up. Credits are used when the analysis starts and come back if it fails. Rendering clips costs nothing. Every plan gives credits each month, and credit packs add ones that never expire.

Can I cancel Pro anytime?

Yes, on your account page in two clicks. Pro stays until the end of the month you paid for, then the account moves to Free. Your clips stay available for a while, so you can download them.

How long does the analysis take?

Much less than the video itself: a long recording is usually ready in minutes. Progress shows step by step, and you can leave the page. The analysis keeps going and the clips wait for you in your files.

What can I upload?

MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, MP3, M4A or WAV. The file needs sound: RageCut listens to it and reads what is said.

Can I use a link instead of a file?

Yes: a YouTube video or a direct link to a file. It has to open without a login or password. RageCut downloads it for you, so there is nothing to upload.

Is there a watermark?

No, on any plan. Clips on Free end with a 2-second RageCut outro, and you can remove it with purchased credits.

What happens to my files?

Your files and clips are visible only to you. They are kept for a time that depends on your plan and then deleted, and you can delete any file yourself at any time.

Help

What is a credit?

1 credit = 1 minute of the file you upload or import, rounded up, at least 1. Credits are taken when the analysis starts and come back if it fails. Rendering clips is free on every plan, 1080p included. Every month your plan's monthly credits are restored, and unused ones don't carry over. Purchased credits never expire and are used after the monthly ones. Your balance and its history are on the Credits page.

My file is longer than my plan allows. What can I do?

Split it into parts and upload them one by one: any video editor can do this. You pay the same either way, 1 credit per minute, so splitting costs nothing extra. Each part gets its own list of moments, which is easier to go through: a very long recording gives hundreds of candidates, and the best ones are harder to spot among them. On Free a file can be up to hours, on Pro up to .

What do the file statuses mean?
On the home page and in Files every file shows where it is:
What do Short, Medium and Long next to a file mean?

They are the clip lengths the file's moments were found for: Short 5–20 s, Medium 20–45 s, Long 45–90 s. The filled one is the length the file opens with; the outlined ones were found earlier and switch at once. New files use the length chosen above the upload area. To find another length for an analyzed file, open it and pick the length in the button above the fragment list («33 Short clips ▾»): it's free and doesn't use credits.

    Why did my file disappear?

Files and their clips are kept for days on Free and days on Pro, counted from the upload. The list shows when each file will be deleted, and the date turns red three days before. If Pro ends, files older than the Free period are kept a few more days, and we email you about it. Download the clips you want to keep.

How does import by link work?

Paste a YouTube video link or a direct link to a video or audio file. Our server downloads it, so nothing is uploaded from your computer. YouTube playlists, channels and live streams aren't supported. Credits are taken once the file is downloaded and its length is known. Importing the same YouTube video again opens the file you already have.

What is the end card on Free renders?

Videos rendered on the Free plan end with a short RageCut end card; it shows in the compilation order and in Preview result. Pro has none. On Free you can remove it from a render with purchased credits: a credit per minute of finished video, twice that for clips plus a compilation. Renders are free otherwise, 1080p included, on every plan.

    How do I edit a fragment's subtitles?

Press Text under a fragment. The editor shows the subtitles as they will appear in the video: one line is one phrase on screen, and the time on the left is when it appears, counted from the start of the fragment. Fix a word, press Enter to split a phrase, or Backspace at the start of a line to join it with the one above. Words you keep stay in sync with the speech, and new or changed words fill the time of the words they replace, so the rest of the fragment doesn't shift. The subtitle preview on the player shows the change right away, and ↺ Recognized brings back the recognized phrases. An edited fragment is marked Edited, and your text is kept in this browser until you render.

What does “12 / 15 words” under the subtitle text mean?

It counts the words of a fragment's subtitles against how many read comfortably in its length: about 3 a second. Above that, “may be hard to read” in yellow: the render works, but the words flash by quickly. If you edit the text to more than 6 words a second, it turns red and the fragment can't be rendered until you shorten the text or make the fragment longer. The recognized text is never blocked, and an empty text renders the fragment without subtitles.

How do I upgrade to Pro?

On the Plan & account page, choose Upgrade to Pro. Payment goes through Polar, our payment provider. Pro starts as soon as the payment goes through: your monthly credits go up to right away, and purchased credits stay as they are.

How do I cancel Pro or go back to Free?

On the Plan & account page, press Cancel subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, then your account moves to Free by itself; until then you can resume it on the same page. If a payment fails, Pro stays for more days while it's retried: update your card in Manage subscription.

    What changes when Pro ends?

Your monthly credits drop to the Free amount () if you have more; purchased credits stay and never expire. Files are kept as long as the Free plan allows ( days from upload), but at least days after the switch, and we email you which files will be deleted and when. Renders get the RageCut end card again.

What happens when I upload the same file again?

We recognize it and open the file you already have, without charging credits again. If its processing failed, it starts again.

How do I delete a file or my account?

Delete a file on the Files page: its clips go with it, and spent credits aren't returned. Delete the whole account in Plan & account. A new account with the same email gets its monthly credits on the date the old one would have.
